Storage

The 18 Pro is confirmed at 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and a new 2TB tier, which is the first time a Pro has gone that high. We have not priced the 2TB separately yet, because there is no 17 Pro equivalent to anchor it against and we would rather show nothing than a number we made up.
Screen condition
A cracked screen does not drop you to a faulty price. You keep the condition the phone is otherwise in and we simply take off what the glass costs us to replace, because we replace them ourselves.
Body and connector
Dents, scuffs and cracks to the casing are graded as part of the overall condition. A cracked back or a bent frame lowers the offer but rarely rules a device out.
Pro-line iPhones tend to hold their resale value better than the standard models a year or two after release, and there is nothing in the 18 Pro's specification that suggests it breaks that pattern. It is a big part of why we open trade-ins against last year's handset rather than making you wait.

Battery health
Our cut off is 90 per cent, so at or above that there is no deduction at all. Below it we take off what a genuine replacement costs us rather than calling the iPhone 18 Pro faulty. Apple's own 80 per cent mark is a repair threshold, not a resale one.
Whether it powers on
A device that boots and passes our checks is worth more than one that does not, but a dead handset is still worth telling us about rather than binning.
A handset that powers on and gets through our bench checks grades above one that will not, and the 18 Pro will be no different there from the model it replaces. If a Pro you already own has stopped switching on, do not write it off: we do buy completely dead handsets, but the quote form cannot put a number on one, because grading starts with getting the phone to come on. iCloud or Google account lock
We can only buy your iPhone 18 Pro once it is signed out of iCloud, with Find My switched off.
If you are trading up on release day, the account side is what trips people at the worst possible moment. Sign out of your Apple Account and switch Find My off before you hand the old handset over, not while you are stood at the counter, because we cannot test or move on a phone that is still tied to you.

Ownership, ID and your data
Three things worth knowing before you sell anything to anyone, not just to us.
The device has to be yours to sell
We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

We record name, address and ID on every purchase
We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.
It protects you as much as us: the purchase can always be traced back to a genuine sale rather than an anonymous one. A photocard driving licence showing your current address covers both documents on its own.

Once your device is checked in, it is fully wiped and factory reset at our shop before it goes anywhere else. Nothing of yours is left behind on it.

Selling your iPhone 18 Pro
When does the iPhone 18 Pro come out?
Apple announced it on 9 September 2026 and it reaches customers on 18 September. Pre-orders opened on the 12th.
How much will an iPhone 18 Pro trade in for?
There is no settled 18 Pro figure yet, because none have been owned, used and traded in. Until that happens we price it against the iPhone 17 Pro value, and the number changes once we have graded real 18 Pro handsets.
Why does this page quote an iPhone 18 Pro against an iPhone 17 Pro?
Because the 17 Pro is the nearest handset with a settled value on our books. Trade-in value comes from what a used device actually sells for, which is something a launch cannot tell you. Anchoring to the 17 Pro keeps the figure grounded in something real, and swapping in genuine 18 Pro pricing is a straightforward update once we have handled a few.
Do you buy the 2TB iPhone 18 Pro?
Yes, we will buy any capacity. The 2TB is new to the Pro line this year, so it has no equivalent in last year's range for us to anchor a price against, which is why you will not see a separate figure for it here yet. Send us a message and we will quote it directly.
Should I repair the Pro I have now instead of selling it towards an 18 Pro?
That comes down to how much longer you want to keep it, and both routes are genuinely open here, because mendmyi repairs iPhones as well as buying them. If the handset has a couple of good years left in it, having it fixed keeps it going. If you are moving to the 18 Pro now it has landed, you would normally do better selling while there is still demand for what you own.
