Sell your Pixel 7 to mendmyi, paid the same day

Sell Your Pixel 7

2022 · GO3Z5, GQML3, GVU6C

We pay up to £104, paid the same day.

The quote offered for your Pixel 7 is what is paid, not an opening position to be argued with later. What moves it is the condition the handset arrives in, including any cracks and how well the battery holds its charge. Posting it in, booking free collection, or dropping it at our Haverhill counter all lead to the same quote.

Not sure whether a part is original? How to check a refurbished phone

Before you sell

We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.

Paid the same day

Bank transfer as soon as your device is checked, or store credit towards an upgrade or downgrade.

Price held 14 days

Once we send your offer it will not drop, so you have time to decide.

We repair, so faulty still pays

Cracked screen or worn battery is a job on our bench, not a write-off.

Not the Pixel 7 storage or condition you were looking for?

We buy a lot more than we list here. Older iPhones, Samsung and Pixel handsets, iPads, Apple Watches, MacBooks and games consoles all get a real offer, and a cracked or faulty device is still worth something to us because we repair them in house. Tell us what you have and we will come back with a firm price.

No obligation, and nothing to pay. We will not give you a number we cannot honour, so if we need to see it first we will say so.

Three steps

How selling your Pixel 7 works

No haggling, no waiting on a callback, and no offer that quietly drops when you arrive.

Get your price

Pick your Pixel 7 storage and condition above and the price we pay appears straight away, no waiting for a callback.

Get it to us, three ways

Walk into the shop, book a free collection from your door within 5 miles, or post it free from anywhere in mainland UK.

Paid the same day

Accept the offer and you are paid there and then, by bank transfer, or store credit towards an upgrade or downgrade.

Your price

What your Pixel 7 is worth depends on

Storage

Bigger storage means a better price. Tell the finder above which Pixel 7 you have and it prices that exact variant.

We take both the 128GB and 256GB versions of the Pixel 7. During inspection we confirm the storage capacity, so if you selected 256GB, make sure that is what is enclosed; a mismatch can delay payment.

Screen condition

A cracked screen does not drop you to a faulty price. You keep the condition the phone is otherwise in and we simply take off what the glass costs us to replace, because we replace them ourselves.

A Pixel 7 with a cracked screen, scuffs or other damage is still a handset we buy. The quote is based on the condition you declare when booking, so being accurate about damage from the start means the offer is less likely to change after arrival.

Body and connector

Dents, scuffs and cracks to the casing are graded as part of the overall condition. A cracked back or a bent frame lowers the offer but rarely rules a device out.

The sale can be arranged through free collection, by posting the Pixel 7 to us, or by bringing it to our Haverhill counter. The quote is identical on each route, so choose whichever is most convenient.

Because mendmyi repairs Pixel 7 handsets as well as buying them, you can look at both options before deciding. Selling the handset as it is and asking about repair are both open to you, with no pressure towards either.

Battery health

We check battery condition ourselves on the bench rather than asking you to self-report a figure online, since there is no single on-device reading we can rely on for every brand. A genuinely worn cell comes off at what a real replacement costs us, worked out once we have the Pixel 7 in front of us.

We assess the battery as part of the Pixel 7 inspection. If it no longer holds a charge as well as it once did, that is noted in the assessment and reflected in the quote, and it does not make the phone impossible to sell.

Whether it powers on

A device that boots and passes our checks is worth more than one that does not, but a dead handset is still worth telling us about rather than binning.

iCloud or Google account lock

We can only buy your Pixel 7 once it is signed out of your Google account, which is what clears Factory Reset Protection.

Before sending the handset, sign out of your Google account and disable Factory Reset Protection. A Pixel 7 that arrives with an active account lock cannot be processed, and clearing it before despatch avoids hold-ups.

Original parts matter to the price: an aftermarket screen, battery or camera fitted by someone else changes what we can pay. If you are not sure what is in your Pixel 7, our guide on how to check a refurbished phone walks through what to look for.

Five minutes

Before you sell: five minutes that protect you

Do these before you hand the device over and the sale goes through without a hitch.

  • 1.Back up what you want to keep

Photos, contacts and anything else you would not want to lose. If an upgrade is replacing it, here is our guide to moving everything to your new phone.

  • 2.Sign out of iCloud or your Google account

Turn off Find My before you hand over the Pixel 7. A device still signed in cannot be bought from you.

  • 3.Take out the SIM and any memory card

These are yours to keep and are not part of the sale.

  • 4.Note down the IMEI

Dial *#06# or check Settings to find it, in case you want a record for your own files.

No surprises

Ownership, ID and your data

Three things worth knowing before you sell anything to anyone, not just to us.

The device has to be yours to sell

We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

"This device is not under contract or finance, is not part of an insurance claim, and has not been reported lost or stolen - I own it outright."

We record name, address and ID on every purchase

We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.

It protects you as much as us: the purchase can always be traced back to a genuine sale rather than an anonymous one. A photocard driving licence showing your current address covers both documents on its own.

Your data is wiped at our shop

Once your device is checked in, it is fully wiped and factory reset at our shop before it goes anywhere else. Nothing of yours is left behind on it.

Locked in

Your price is held for 14 days

Once we send you an offer for your Pixel 7, it is held for 14 days. That gives you time to compare us against the online recyclers before deciding, without the price moving under you.

“Samsung flip phone did the inevitable and screen cracked on the bend. Looked at taking it to a large store and although cheaper, it was along way to travel and due to time constraints booked into Mendmyi. Although slightly more expensive they got the job done quickly using Samsung parts and it was a quick turnaround and it's all like new again.”

Selling your Pixel 7

When I book my Pixel 7 in, is the quote shown only a starting point that you can reduce after seeing the phone?

No, it is not negotiated down on arrival. The quote shown is what is paid, not an opening bid, so as long as the Pixel 7 matches the condition you described when booking, the offer stays as it was.

Can you still buy a Pixel 7 that has a cracked screen and a battery that runs down too quickly?

Yes, we still buy a Pixel 7 with a cracked screen and a worn battery. Both are factored into the quote you receive when you give the details, so they are not added as deductions later.

My Pixel 7 is signed into my Google account. Is that all I need to clear before sending it?

No, that is not all. You also need to disable Factory Reset Protection, because a Pixel 7 that arrives with an active Google account or a protection lock still switched on cannot be processed.

If I would rather not wait in for a courier, can I post my Pixel 7 in instead with the offer staying the same?

Yes, posting it in is fine and the quote does not change. Free collection, handing the Pixel 7 over at our Haverhill counter, and posting it yourself all lead to the same offer, so use whichever is easiest.

What paperwork do you need before you pay me for my Pixel 7, and on what day does the payment go out?

Photo ID and proof of address are required on every purchase, with no exceptions. Once both have been confirmed, payment for your Pixel 7 goes out the same day, no matter whether it arrived by collection, was posted, or was dropped at Haverhill.

Would I be better off having my Pixel 7 repaired before selling it, or selling it exactly as it is?

No, there is not a single better route that suits everyone. Because mendmyi repairs Pixel 7 handsets as well as buying them, you can sell yours with its current damage or ask about repair and then decide, and neither option is pushed over the other.
