Sign out of your Google account and clear Find My Device first, since Factory Reset Protection can hold a device 72 hours after the account is removed. A crack fails the Excellent and Good ticks, so email us instead.

Screen condition
A cracked screen does not drop you to a faulty price. You keep the condition the phone is otherwise in and we simply take off what the glass costs us to replace, because we replace them ourselves.
Selling a Pixel 8a means clearing the Google account before you send it, not just running a factory reset. Factory Reset Protection can keep asking for the previous account's credentials for up to 72 hours after the account is removed, and a device stuck at that screen is not something we can pay for until it boots straight to the Android welcome screen.
Body and connector
Dents, scuffs and cracks to the casing are graded as part of the overall condition. A cracked back or a bent frame lowers the offer but rarely rules a device out.
A Pixel 8a charges over USB-C. If a cable from an older Android handset feels slower on this one, that is the cable or the plug rather than the phone, and neither changes the figure we pay for it.
A Pixel 8a bought on a carrier instalment plan is not automatically clear to sell once it is unlocked. Being network unlocked and being paid off are two separate questions, and only a phone that is yours outright, free of any live agreement, is one we can buy as a straightforward cash purchase.
Battery health
We check battery condition ourselves on the bench rather than asking you to self-report a figure online, since there is no single on-device reading we can rely on for every brand. A genuinely worn cell comes off at what a real replacement costs us, worked out once we have the Pixel 8a in front of us.
A Pixel 8a does not carry a battery percentage question on this page. Android gives no single on-device figure a seller can check the way an iPhone does through Battery Health, so battery condition here is something we work out ourselves on the bench once the phone is in front of us.
Whether it powers on
A device that boots and passes our checks is worth more than one that does not, but a dead handset is still worth telling us about rather than binning.
