Screen condition
A cracked screen does not drop you to a faulty price. You keep the condition the phone is otherwise in and we simply take off what the glass costs us to replace, because we replace them ourselves.
Body and connector
Dents, scuffs and cracks to the casing are graded as part of the overall condition. A cracked back or a bent frame lowers the offer but rarely rules a device out.
You can choose how your Pixel 8 Pro reaches us: book the free collection, drop it at our Haverhill shop counter or post it in. The offer is the same across all three routes, so the decision is purely about which is more convenient for you.
Payment for your Pixel 8 Pro is sent the same day your photo ID and proof of address are confirmed. These are required on every purchase without exception, and the route by which the phone reached us does not change that timing.
Battery health
We check battery condition ourselves on the bench rather than asking you to self-report a figure online, since there is no single on-device reading we can rely on for every brand. A genuinely worn cell comes off at what a real replacement costs us, worked out once we have the Pixel 8 Pro in front of us.
A Pixel 8 Pro with a cracked screen or a worn battery can still go through the sale. We fold damage into the overall condition grade during inspection rather than applying it as a separate penalty, and once that grade is confirmed the offer is held for 14 days.
The Pixel 8 Pro has a 5050 mAh battery. If it now runs down more quickly than it used to, tell us at the quote stage, because a worn battery is evaluated within the overall condition of the device rather than ending the sale.
Whether it powers on
A device that boots and passes our checks is worth more than one that does not, but a dead handset is still worth telling us about rather than binning.
iCloud or Google account lock
We can only buy your Pixel 8 Pro once it is signed out of your Google account, which is what clears Factory Reset Protection.
Please sign out of your Google account and disable Factory Reset Protection before you send the device. If your Pixel 8 Pro reaches us with an active Google account still on it, the purchase cannot be completed until that has been removed.

Three things worth knowing before you sell anything to anyone, not just to us.
The device has to be yours to sell
We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

We record name, address and ID on every purchase
We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.
It protects you as much as us: the purchase can always be traced back to a genuine sale rather than an anonymous one. A photocard driving licence showing your current address covers both documents on its own.

Once your device is checked in, it is fully wiped and factory reset at our shop before it goes anywhere else. Nothing of yours is left behind on it.
