Sell Your iPad mini (6th generation)

2021 · A2567, A2568, A2569

We pay up to £232, paid the same day.

The offer for your iPad mini (6th generation) is decided by the condition it arrives in. Cracked glass and a worn battery are both taken into account, so describing them at the outset gives you an offer that reflects the actual device. The offer we confirm is the one we honour, with nothing negotiated down after arrival.

Before you sell

We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.

★★★★★ 4.9 from 763 reviews

Combined rating across Google, Trustpilot and Facebook reviews.

Paid the same day

Cash or bank transfer as soon as your device is checked, not store credit.

Price held 14 days

Once we send your offer it will not drop, so you have time to decide.

We repair, so faulty still pays

Cracked screen or worn battery is a job on our bench, not a write-off.

Not the iPad mini (6th generation) storage or condition you were looking for?

We buy a lot more than we list here. Older iPhones, Samsung and Pixel handsets, iPads, Apple Watches, MacBooks and games consoles all get a real offer, and a cracked or faulty device is still worth something to us because we repair them in house. Tell us what you have and we will come back with a firm price.

No obligation, and nothing to pay. We will not give you a number we cannot honour, so if we need to see it first we will say so.

Three steps

How selling your iPad mini (6th generation) works

No haggling, no waiting on a callback, and no offer that quietly drops when you arrive.

Get your price

Pick your iPad mini (6th generation) storage and condition above and the price we pay appears straight away, no waiting for a callback.

Get it to us, three ways

Walk into the shop, book a free collection from your door within 5 miles, or post it free from anywhere in mainland UK.

Paid the same day

Accept the offer and you are paid there and then, cash or bank transfer, never store credit.

How selling your phone works, start to finish →

Your price

What your iPad mini (6th generation) is worth depends on

Storage

Bigger storage means a better price. Tell the finder above which iPad mini (6th generation) you have and it prices that exact variant.

mendmyi takes the 64GB and 256GB versions of the iPad mini (6th generation). Check the storage size in Settings before you begin, because the version you select is part of the sale details we match against the unit.

Screen condition

A cracked screen does not drop you to a faulty price. You keep the condition the phone is otherwise in and we simply take off what the glass costs us to replace, because we replace them ourselves.

Condition is set by what the iPad mini (6th generation) is like when it reaches us. Cracked glass changes the grade, so choose the matching condition and be honest about the screen before you send it.

Body and connector

Dents, scuffs and cracks to the casing are graded as part of the overall condition. A cracked back or a bent frame lowers the offer but rarely rules a device out.

Photo ID and proof of address are required on every purchase, with no exceptions. Once those are confirmed, payment goes out the same day, whichever route the iPad mini (6th generation) took to get here.

After we have inspected the iPad mini (6th generation), the offer is held for 14 days. That window gives you time to decide without the confirmed quote being reopened or changed.

Battery health

Our cut off is 90 per cent, so at or above that there is no deduction at all. Below it we take off what a genuine replacement costs us rather than calling the iPad mini (6th generation) faulty. Apple's own 80 per cent mark is a repair threshold, not a resale one.

We look at the battery as part of the same condition check. If the iPad mini (6th generation) no longer holds a charge or powers off unusually early, tell us that when you request the quote rather than letting us find it later.

Whether it powers on

A device that boots and passes our checks is worth more than one that does not, but a dead handset is still worth telling us about rather than binning.

iCloud or Google account lock

We can only buy your iPad mini (6th generation) once it is signed out of iCloud, with Find My switched off.

Turn off Find My and sign out of your Apple Account before your iPad mini (6th generation) leaves you. Arriving still locked to an account prevents us from completing the purchase, so take care of this first.

Original parts matter to the price: an aftermarket screen, battery or camera fitted by someone else changes what we can pay. If you are not sure what is in your iPad mini (6th generation), our guide on how to check a refurbished phone walks through what to look for.

Five minutes

Before you sell: five minutes that protect you

Do these before you hand the device over and the sale goes through without a hitch.

  • 1.Back up what you want to keep

Photos, contacts and anything else you would not want to lose. If an upgrade is replacing it, here is our guide to moving everything to your new phone.

  • 2.Sign out of iCloud or your Google account

Turn off Find My before you hand over the iPad mini (6th generation). A device still signed in cannot be bought from you.

  • 3.Take out the SIM and any memory card

These are yours to keep and are not part of the sale.

  • 4.Note down the IMEI

Dial *#06# or check Settings to find it, in case you want a record for your own files.

No surprises

Ownership, ID and your data

Three things worth knowing before you sell anything to anyone, not just to us.

The device has to be yours to sell

We cannot buy a device that is still under contract or on finance, because until it is paid off you are not yet its legal owner. We also cannot buy a device that is part of an ongoing insurance claim, or that has been reported lost or stolen.

"This device is not under contract or finance, is not part of an insurance claim, and has not been reported lost or stolen - I own it outright."

We record name, address and ID on every purchase

We record the name and address of everyone we buy from, and check them against photo ID and proof of address. HMRC requires it: buying from a private seller, we have to raise the purchase invoice ourselves and it must carry your details. Bring the documents into the shop and show us, or send a photo if the device is reaching us another way.

It protects you as much as us: the purchase can always be traced back to a genuine sale rather than an anonymous one. A photocard driving licence showing your current address covers both documents on its own.

GOV.UK: VAT margin schemes, section 6.2

Your data is wiped at our shop

Once your device is checked in, it is fully wiped and factory reset at our shop before it goes anywhere else. Nothing of yours is left behind on it.

Locked in

Your price is held for 14 days

Once we send you an offer for your iPad mini (6th generation), it is held for 14 days. That gives you time to compare us against the online recyclers before deciding, without the price moving under you.

Selling your iPad mini (6th generation)

What identification do you need from me before the money for my iPad mini (6th generation) is paid, and when does that payment happen?

Photo ID and proof of address are required for every purchase, with no exceptions. Once we have confirmed both, payment goes out the same day, whichever route the iPad mini (6th generation) took to reach us.

Should I sell my damaged iPad mini (6th generation) to mendmyi or ask mendmyi to repair it?

It depends on the fault and on what suits you, because mendmyi carries out repairs as well as buying devices. Describe the issue with your iPad mini (6th generation) and weigh both routes before deciding; you will not be pressured either way.

How long does an offer for the iPad mini (6th generation) remain valid once mendmyi has checked the tablet?

It remains valid for 14 days. Once the iPad mini (6th generation) has been inspected and the offer confirmed, you have two weeks to decide without the offer changing.

Could mendmyi decide to pay me less for my iPad mini (6th generation) than the offer first quoted?

No. The offer confirmed after inspecting the iPad mini (6th generation) is the one you receive, and mendmyi will not try to talk that offer down when the device is in hand.

If my iPad mini (6th generation) has a cracked screen and a worn battery, are both checked together in one condition assessment?

Yes. We assess the whole iPad mini (6th generation) in one check, so include both the screen damage and the worn battery when you describe its condition.

If my iPad mini (6th generation) is still linked to my Apple Account with Find My switched on, can mendmyi still take it?

No. The iPad mini (6th generation) needs to be signed out of your Apple Account and have Find My turned off before it is sent, because a device that arrives with an activation lock active prevents the purchase from going through.
