That second one matters. Many budget iPhone X panels cannot meet the standard of the display's touch controller, which shows up as flickering, dead spots, or "ghost touch" where the phone taps things on its own. The catch is the earpiece and front-sensor assembly that carries the Face ID components: it has to be moved across to the new screen intact. If those delicate flex cables are damaged during the repair, Face ID stops working for good, because that hardware is paired to the phone's logic board and only Apple can restore it. That is precisely why it pays to have the job done by someone who takes their time rather than the cheapest option going.
